Our Presbyter
Chaz is a third-generation Presbyterian, who graduated from Austin College in Sherman, TX. He attended and graduated from Louisville Seminary where he met his wife Janet, who is also a teaching elder. Chaz served congregations in St. Joseph, Mo; Hope, AR; and Midwest City, OK; before beginning judicatory ministry in 2007.
He served as Interim Executive Presbyter in the Presbytery of Missouri River Valley and Executive Presbyter of the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area.

Chaz is retiring from his position as Presbyter on March 1st 2022.
Our Moderator
Rev. Stephanie Ells is the Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Dubuque. She began her ministry there on August 1, 2020. Pastor Stephanie grew up in Nebraska in the Reformed Church of America and attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan. Ordained by the South Grand Rapids classis of the Reformed Church of America in 2006, she was received as a Presbyterian minister in 2012. She has served churches both large and small, urban and rural. Most recently, Rev. Ells has been working as a bi-lingual Child Forensic Interviewer. She has also been providing pulpit supply for churches in the Homestead Presbytery and pastoral care to the members of the church she attends.
